SHOT BLASTING SERVICES

From our North East base, Stovrite have been providing shot blasting services since 2010 when we heavily invested in specialist professional equipment. This allows us to have total control of the entire coating process from cleaning and pre-treatment all the way to finally adding the final coating.

Why do we use shot blasting?

In order to achieve an excellent finish to your final product it’s vital to clean it correctly at the beginning of the process. Our methods ensure that any items are completely clean and ready to be powder coated or wet painted. The shot blasting services we provide are carried out professionally and with the upmost care and attention.

British, Swedish and American standards

One of the main benefits to our shot blasting cleaning service is that it allows us to prepare substrates that are recognised by British, Swedish and American standards prior to any coating being applied. By following the cleaning standards and guidelines of the paint manufacturers we are able to better prepare the product before any paint is applied.

Metal cleaning

While shot blasting this is an aggressive metal cleaning process, which uses chilled iron grit, it ensures the metal is smooth and free of any contaminations. The process is able to remove imperfections such as rust, old paint or mill scale which then provides the new paint with a better surface to adhere to. This ultimately produces a better finish and a longer lasting coating. As we offer shot blasting services along with various other pre-treatment solutions, we are able to closely monitor any items all the way through the cleaning and coating process.

Purpose built blasting room

Here at Stovrite we can be sure our customers are getting the best service possible as all shot blasting work takes place in our fully equipped purpose build room. The room is 4x4m in size which allows us to accommodate larger fabrications pieces.
