Gateshead Firm Sets Sights on Growth After Management Buyout

A specialist industrial metal treatments company is looking forward to expanding to new premises and new staff hires after a successful management buyout.

Stovrite Specialist Coatings of Baltic Place in Gateshead, can take their roots back over 40 years to Dunston, where it was founded by long serving Director, Alfred Manuel.

After relocating to Baltic Place several years ago, the firm has seen further expansion to now occupy 4 factory units and employing 14 staff.

Specialising in metal treatments, power coating and wet painting, Stovrite work with a range of national and international clients across the defence, oil and gas and marine sectors.

New Managing Director, Gary Forster, joined Stovrite 11 years ago, progressing through the ranks of the company and now looks forward to taking the firm into the future.

Gary said “I’m delighted to be taking Stovrite into this exciting next chapter. We look forward to staying in the borough and further expanding into new premises, with plans for five new staff members coming on board over the next 2 years”.

Alfred said “After over 40 years at Stovrite, I’m delighted to see the company continue in such a strong position and can think of no one better than Gary, to take it forward long into the future”.
